Summer closure of the Institute of Art and Archaeology: book and exhibition recommendations for this summer
Summer break !
As the Institute of Art and Archaeology approaches its summer closure, we asked a few members of the Jaussen & Savignac programme to recommend a book or an exhibition to discover…
Five of them accepted the challenge and kindly agreed to take part in the spirit of sharing: The books are presented in the carousel in French, but some are available in English—their original language:
Gaelle Tallet: Mendelsohn,D. 2017. "An Odyssey: A Father, a Son, and an Epic", Random House Publishing.
François Giligny: Mizubayashi, A. "Unforgettable Suite".
Pauline Piraud-Fournet: Exhibition « Tattoo. Histories of the Mediterranean » at the Center of la Vieille Charité, Marseille [17th May, 2025 – 28th September, 2025].
Bertrand Debatty: Christie Mallowan, A. "Come, Tell Me How You Live: An Archaeological Memoir", (originally published in 1946)
Hervé MONCHOT: Doughty, Charles M. "Travels in Arabia Deserta" (originally published in 1888)
