International Epigraphy Internship at Ghent University
From 22 June to 11 July 2026, Renad Alqahtani, a Master’s 1 student in Archaeology and Preventive Conservation – Jaussen & Savignac Programme (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and The Royal Commission for AlUla), participated in the AlUla Inscriptions Corpus Analysis Project (AICAP) Epigraphic Summer Program, organized by Ghent University, Belgium.
The AICAP project aims to create a fully annotated digital corpus of inscriptions documented by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) during its survey campaigns conducted between 2018 and 2020.
This experience enabled Renad Alqahtani to join an international research environment and further develop her skills alongside specialists in epigraphy and digital humanities. It also reflects the quality of the training offered through the Jaussen & Savignac Programme and its students’ ability to contribute to international scientific projects
