End of the first semester for Master 1 students Jaussen & Savignac!
They have worked hard, learned a lot, and even submitted their first internship report on time!
And for the past three weeks, Master's 1 Jaussen & Savignac students have been conducting a few visits and practical fieldwork with their teachers. They visited the laboratory with Giulia Nicatore as part of their course on methods for studying archaeological objects.
They also received an introduction to building surveying in the field with Pimprenelle Atlan. The aim was to give them their first practical experience of architectural analysis directly in situ, before moving on to more advanced exercises during the semester.
Finally, at the beginning of this week, they visited the Egyptian Antiquities department at the Musée du Louvre, with Gabrielle Choimet, as part of their Artefact Studies module, which follows on from a semester studying the different materials commonly encountered in archaeology: ceramics, stone, glass, metal, organic materials, etc.
This visit is also a prelude to the second semester course devoted to the mediation and promotion of archaeological heritage (Archaeology for the Public).
A gentle mediation before the end of 2025 and before they disperse for a well-deserved vacation!
