The road to resilience: online conference to understand and reflect on tomorrow's conservation challenges

From 2 to 5 December 2025, International Council of Museums (ICOM) is organising an international webinar entitled "Conservation 2025 - Routes to Resilience" as part of its "Focus on Conservation" conference series. This online conference will explore strategies and approaches that strengthen the long-term sustainability of collections, as well as conservation practices and the institutions that support them.

This online gathering will bring together conservation professionals from all disciplines and countries. On the agenda: sharing experiences, exchanging ideas and analysing the different facets of strengthening resilience in the field of conservation.

Claire Betelu, lecturer and researcher for the Jaussen & Savignac programme and professional restorer, will discuss the experience of developing the Jaussen & Savignac programme and the contributions of this bilateral experience to conservation-restoration.
