Fifth session of the seminar ‘Archaeological Archives of the Ancient Near East: Analytical Approaches and New Perspectives’
The fifth session of the seminar ‘Archaeological Archives of the Ancient Near East: Analytical Approaches and New Perspectives’, organised by Hugo Naccaro, postdoctoral researcher in the Jaussen & Savignac Programme (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and The Royal Commission for AlUla), will take place on Wednesday 25 February 2026 at the INHA, in the Walter Benjamin Room, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
During this fifth session, Steve Renette (University of Cambridge) will present the Al-Hiba publication project, which involves digitising the raw data acquired at the Lagash archaeological site since 1968 and incorporating it into a relational database and Geographic Information System (GIS) with a view to organising the final publication of the excavations.
